What is ITAL?

ITAL is a privately-held company whose only shareholders are its Directors and employees and their families.  Many of our services and products are provided under the ITAL name, and in addition we have two operating divisions providing specialised services in revenue protection for transport operators.  These are IRCAS and IAS.

Independent Revenue Collection and Support (IRCAS)

IRCAS provides revenue protection support services for train and bus operating companies, particularly in the administration of Penalty Fares and Unpaid Fares.

Independent Appeals Service (IAS)

Department for Transport regulations require that appeals against the issue of Penalty Fare Notices must be handled by an independent organisation, and not by the Transport Operator issuing the Penalty Fare Notice.  IAS provides this independent assessment service.
