Generic Services

Services provided by ITAL: Independent Transport Associates Limited

VirtualCredit

A service allowing credit and debit card payments to be accepted, securely and with certainty of funds transfer, in circumstances where normal chip-and-pin terminals are not usable.  The only equipment required is a mobile phone.  More...

VirtualMinder

A service in support of lone worker protection.  No special equipment and no call-centre is required.  Our system can track mobile phones, and allows staff members to raise an alarm with a single button press.  This can alert managers, colleagues or police and automatically set up a conference call so that relevant persons can listen to the incident as it happens, and decide on a course of action.  A digital recording is automatically stored, for later use as evidence if required.  More...

Telephony-based Data Collection

Technologies used in our core services enable us to develop simple bespoke data collection applications quickly and economically.  A few examples...
  • Daily Duty Monitor.  Allows revenue collection staff to deliver their end-of-shift report by calling a dedicated number and keying data into their mobile phone in response to spoken questions.  Data is immediately available to management via a website, and the system avoids paper form-filling and subsequent re-keying.
  • TextMe.  Allows passengers to make reports (e.g on suspected fare-dodgers, or faulty toilets) to transport managers simply by sending a text message to a published number.  Messages are collected and made immediately available to management via a dedicated website, where actions can be agreed and tracked.
  • Feedback Line.  Allows revenue protection staff to report problems or issues quickly and simply by phone. Recorded reports are stored and made available to management via a website, where actions can be agreed and tracked.

Gatekeeper

A portal service which can be used to control and monitor access to all the other services, and to provide pre-recorded briefing messages as staff members log on and off.  This can be used, for example, to ensure that only staff who are on duty receive broadcast messages or have access to sensitive applications.
